Jennifer & Lexi {Jay’s HOPE, Clicks for HOPE}

I leave every session happy, but today was a different feeling of happiness.  I left with a thankful heart.  Thankful that God blessed me with a talent that allowed me to meet these two incredibly strong people.  Alexis (Lexi) is a beautiful, intelligent and extremely strong 16-year-old.  She started having some knee pain in November that was thought to be just a problem with her patella.  After several doctor visits, she was diagnosed in March with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer.  She started chemo on April 2nd and shortly after that her hair started to come out.  Jennifer decided to shave her head to match Lexi’s.  These are two of the most beautiful, bald women…inside and out.   I can tell you just from spending an hour with them, that Jennifer is one strong Mama and she loves her ‘baby’.  She say’s that she’s emotional, a lot and that Lexi is always a rock and optimistic.  Jennifer’s words were “God has a plan for my talented baby, he chose this path and we don’t know why, but in time all will be revealed”.

Jennifer and Lexi-thank you for allowing me to capture this moment in your lives.  I can’t wait for the next milestone.  Hugs & prayers and have a safe trip tomorrow!
